On Wednesday, October 25, the 9th-11th grade students at the high school, along with 8th grade students at the EMS, will take the PSAT. The PSAT is a stepping stone to the actual SAT and is also used to gauge readiness for advanced high school study. The details for the test day are below. Please note the different start times and locations depending on grade. Please also note that 12th grade students do not have to come to school on October 25.
Test Date: October 25, 2017
Time and Location:
8th grade: 8am at KA Meidaimae. Paxton will meet 8th grade students at Meidaimae Station at 7:30am.
9th-11th grades: 8:45am at KAIS. Testing will begin at 9am sharp.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Things to Bring:
HB (#2) pencils and eraser
Scientific or graphing calculator
Jacket or sweater (if the testing room is too cold)
Watch or timer that doesn’t make noise (optional)
After the Test:
8th grade: Paxton will escort the students back to the EMS.
9th-11th grades: High school test-takers will be dismissed for the day.
Results will be available sometime in December. Students will be sent home with their score reports when available. If you would like a pdf copy of your child’s score report, please let Paxton know.
