We are excited to welcome composer and inventor Sami Elu to perform, speak, and co-create music with our students at KAIS. Sami constructed a unique instrument made out of chopsticks upon which he plucks piano wires and uses chopsticks like piano keys. This unique musical talent lives in Tokyo and is known for creating instruments out of recycled material; he also composes the pieces he plays! Come listen and watch in our library at 4pm on Tuesday, June 5th as he dexterously performs by hitting the keys, picking the wires, and using his feet for the percussion—all at the same time!
