One of the quickest ways to not understand an issue is to misrepresent the issue in question. This excellent short video from PBS quickly explains five conversational fallacies and how you can avoid (or detect) them in the future for clearer thinking and more civil conversations. It will be a bit of review for anyone who took Tommy’s AP Language and Composition class last year, but we encourage all high school Llamas to find fourteen minutes and give it a watch. If you heed the advice, it can sharpen your rhetoric–maybe even enough to win the next dispute with mom or dad!
