What an amazing adventure we had last week! We saw so many sides of Tohoku, from breathtaking natural wonders to fascinating historical sites. We sampled a wide variety of local cuisine while giving presentations, reading haiku, and singing karaoke! We were inspired by the perseverance of the friendly folks we met in Ishinomaki. The views from Yamadera, Akiu Falls, and our Matsushima boat ride were so beautiful that not even the very best of Instagram filters could do them justice (#nofilter). We would like to give a big thanks to Chihiro, Ryugo, and Misako for all the hard work they did in planning this trip. Our next big adventure will take us to the slopes of Minakami.
