On the morning of March 13th, we conducted a successful earthquake and evacuation drill. This was our second drill of the school year. Students and teachers evacuated the building and made it to our primary evacuation zone in two minutes and fifty-two seconds (a new school record). We would like to advise all of the families in our community to use Skype or the Line App to communicate with your children in the event of a natural disaster (regular phone lines are unlikely to work), and to learn about the emergency evacuation plan in your neighborhood. There is also an earthquake early warning app we strongly suggest downloading. Further useful information about emergency preparedness can be found here and in the KAIS Earthquake Preparedness document found at the bottom of each newsletter. Please read it carefully.
